Desktop and Laptop: Do I bring both?

I already have a laptop capable of performing all the college activities I will be doing as a Bioengineering major, but I got into gaming about a year ago, and spent a good amount of money on a rather nice gaming PC. While I don’t want to bring the desktop along if it isn’t appropriate to do so, I also don’t want to leave a nice system at home depreciating and collecting dust. Do I bring it along, or wait till I get an apartment?

I knew some students who had a desktop and a laptop. They used the desktop in the dorms and the laptop when they were out and about. Most students tend to have just a laptop, but it’s certainly not unheard of to have both (or just a desktop). If you want to bring both, then bring both (provided you have enough desk space in the dorm for the desktop). There’s nothing wrong with it.

Try your first semester without it. If you find that you have time to coop up in your dorm by yourself and play video games on your computer, bring it back for the Spring.
