How does Dr. Huhtamo in Desma 10 grade his assignments (UCLA design game, midterm, and final)? Does anybody know if he is one of those teachers who gives out 100%s or one of those teachers who thinks nothing is perfect so does not give out 100%s? Also, where does Dr. Huhtamo get his quiz questions from?

A great amount of the grade in Desma is on participation alone. (Meaning if you did the great UCLA game assignment, at any level of quality, that's a B+)

His quiz questions come from the readings. They aren't minute details. If you know the main ideas then you can get by on them.

Desma 10 was my most laid back class last year. You don't have anything to worry about.

i've the same questions about desma 9: art, science, and technology (art ge) with victoria vesna. on bruinwalk, her ratings say that she doesn't really care too much about her students, but i'm solely taking her class for a GPA booster (exception: if this class is really going to be a drag, for ex, if it feels like a waste of time).

please let me know about her grading before i switch into her class. thx.

dma10...yeahh. That class was definitely interesting and laid-back, got an A on the midterm and thought our group rocked the game and final as well, 9/10 on the quizzes, put more than enough effort...and an A-? but no breakdown. a little ticked off, but maybe if i had a breakdown at least i'd understand why.

i believe percentage wise it's 50%final,30%midterm,10%game,10%quizzes. Correct if wrong. I don't know anything about dma9 though. sorry
