I noticed DeWeese is actually teaching 8B next semester, is anyone who is taking Physics 8A with him intending on taking 8B with him, despite that he can't teach?

(I am not taking 8B next semester, so don't ask me what I am doing)

lol how bad is this guy?

Uhhh he is pretty bad at teaching, but he is very endearing as he really cares for his students and tries to make physics interesting with relatively fair exams.

He is absolutely not bad at teaching. He gives detailed examples and walks through problems. He has a lot of demos which makes it easier to see the concepts he is explaining and makes the class a lot more fun. Provided he makes mistakes sometimes during his explanations but they are always caught by students and I’m pretty sure there have been times that he’s intentionally done that to see who is awake/intelligent.
If you don’t like physics or did not chose to attend lecture or do the readings (which complement his lectures a lot) that’s on you but don’t blame a perfectly good professor for your shortcomings.

DeWeese is teaching 7B and not 8B.
