My son loved that too (that they quoted him). He said it was by far the best acceptance letter he’s received so far.

Is that the only option? We are going to be very far…

Student shadow days scheduled as well. Looks like more info will be coming, but this is posted on site. Their site is good - you can check out advising process, orientation, and move-in date. (Visit Options | Visit Options | Dickinson College)

My son said the same thing!! Made him feel so great that they read his essay that he had worked so hard on. Such a nice personal, special touch.

Interested in stats of those who were admitted. I have a junior who may be applying next year and is considering going test optional. Congrats to all who were accepted!

1450 SAT (submitted), 4.4 weighted (4.7 jr year & sr so far - freshman yr @ HS with no APs, had to play catchup), 8 APs, 4 years basketball, president of a school political club, NHS + 3 subject hr societies, active in church, teen columnist for local newspaper, good writer (so essays may have helped), part-time job. Feel free to message me if you have more Qs. We visited campus twice - live not far away, outside Philly. She will be a prelaw track wherever she decides - still waiting for 10 more decisions in next 3 weeks. Dickinson did a great job with merit and our financial-based need (which is fairly high).

Dickinson is test-free until at least next year, so even if your student wanted to submit scores they would not be considered.

Mom_2_3,

Dickinson was one of my daughter’s safeties. She got the Provost Scholarship. 4.0/4.6 gpa. 33 ACT. 13 AP classes.

Good luck

I was accepted with a 1370 SAT and a 4.03 weighted GPA.

SAT scores are irrelevant. Dickinson said at the orientation session, even if you submit it we will not look at them…

DD had a 3.75 UW/4.5 W GPA. ACT 33 (but doesn’t matter since test blind). 9 APs with every other class being honors/accelerated. National commended student, a bunch of honor societies, props head for stage crew at high school. Competitive archer with three state championship titles, employment and volunteer hours. Got accepted RD with merit.

DD got accepted with a Provost Scholarship and a Dickinson Grant on top of her Pell Grant and SEOG financial aid. Will cost $4k. She is excited and is considering it seriously along with other offers (full rides). Still waiting to hear from many more schools. Congratulations everyone!
