Dickinson College v Allegheny College v Juniata

Admitted to all three.Liked them all. Does anyone have the inside scoop on how these three are viewed? How they compare? They are similar size and all in Pennsylvania.

undoubtedly, Dickinson!

Would mind expanding on your answer? Size? Local? atmosphere? reputation? facilities? professors? students? any info would be helpful.

Admittedly, all of these schools are very similar. I looked at Dickinson and Juniata. I’m currently at Juniata. Personally I like Juniata better because of a few things. I like the location of JC better. I like the mountains and the small town atmosphere. I also like JC because there isn’t any Greek life. Not that I have anything at all against Greek life! One of my best friends is the president of a frat at Dickinson. I just think there is a closer community at Juniata because of the lack of Greek life.

I just really like Juniata because of the community and the relationship that the college has. Everyone knows each other. Professors know all their students. Advisors invite their advisees over to their house. In general, just everyone is willing to help each other, and it really leads to a great feeling on campus.

My 4 tiers of PA LACs:
Super D Duper: Swarthmore & Haverford
Excellent: Bucknell, Lafayette, Gettysburg, Bryn Mawr, Franklin & Marshall and Dickinson
Very Good: Muhlenburg, Ursinus, Juniata, and Allegheny
Solid: Moravian, Susquehanna
The 3 choices are all close enough academically that you’ll have to visit and query fit for your preferences - Dickinson is the strongest academically of the three but not so much as to trump fit.

Did you feel that the professor student relationship was better at Juniata than Dickinson?

Hey everyone
Thanks for the comments. Still have not decided!

i would like to say professors are very accessible at dickinson. i am an accepted student and i emailed an english professor. based on her cv i learned she is a great professor (bachelor, master, and phd completed at Yale and has taught at dickinson for so many years). i emailed her seeking any advice on preparing for the college and she responded my email!! she even asked a recent alumnus (from my country) who is currently at Yale graduate school to provide more detailed advice on what to prepare for academic and social life. i believe at dickinson, we can access to professor whenever.

hope this helps. i accepted EA. where r u from? dickinson is my top choice- number 2 or 3.
