Dickinson, Union, Connecticut College?

We looked at Dickinson and Union with my D. Union felt like a very STEM oriented LAC while Dickinson felt more focused on the humanities. My gut is that Union is more party-oriented as compared to Dickinson.

Her #1 is not in the same category as the rest of the schools on this post

Sharing my post on Union from other thread. Union has a very traditional college campus with lots of historic buildings and green lawns. Founded in 1795, it’s second oldest college in New York. Also, it’s featured in the book, “Hidden Ivies” and consistently ranked by USN & WR as a top 50 liberal arts college. The school is walking distance to downtown Schenectady, a legacy city which is in the middle of a transformation, similar to Pittsburgh in the 1980s and Cleveland in the 2000s. You can take a tour of Schenectady with President Harris and a tour of the campus. If you make it to Schenectady, i strongly recommend checking out Mohawk Harbor.

Yes, you can attend concerts at the casinos if you’re under 21.

Thanks! Are you a student at Conn or I am guessing Quinnipiac?

Did anyone commit yet? I think my daughter will be committing to Conn this week.

My S is a student at QU. My D visited all the schools that you are considering, and we live in CT.

My niece is a senior at QU as well! I actually have triplets and I believe they will all be committing to schools in CT (I may have to move there!)

Let’s get back on track and focus on the OPs question.

She ended up choosing Conn! After her admissions, the zooms were offered, she wrote and heard from 2 key professors and she was in contact with two girls who have first hand knowledge as students - she liked the no greek feel, film studies major and proximity to home!

Congratulations as Connecticut College seems to best match your daughter’s preferences.

(Was momentarily confused by the reference to “Conn” as in UConn.)
