Did any of your kids receive free applications?

D just got one for Drexel in her email.

I throw out a lot of mail without looking at it but today son had a waiver from Rice based on his AP scores and a streamlined application for the University of Denver.

Yea, Amazon, the ones I am seeing cite AP scores as being the means of identification.

All of our emails/mail say “because of your accomplishments” but I don’t know exactly which ones they are talking about…maybe that they cleaned their room, once, a couple months ago :D.

I’m more surprised at people that AREN’T getting these. We get about 10 emails/day between the 2 kids…you are welcome to any of those :D.

Pitts, Drexel, Fordham,Rice.

Several were free: Wittenberg, College of Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan and a few others she didn’t apply to. All were small LACs. (From what I remember.) Just a year ago but it was a whirlwind!

@Mamaduck - sent you a pm re:RIT

Happykid went to one small college fair for Hispanic students, and subsequently received a raft of letters offering free applications, and on-the-spot admissions decisions if she visited campus. Since none offered her very specific major concentration (Theater Lighting rather than generalized Theater Tech), all of those letters went straight to the recycle bin. She didn’t give anyone her email, so she never had to contend with college spam.
