Sounds like spam. Never heard that anyone received such a letter. Would be interesting to post or send an email to their admissions asking if it’s real.

It’s not spam. Columbia sends them to select applicants. You will get a copy in the mail in a few days. A few posters here have them. Very few get them, so people who don’t get them should not worry and can still get in.
No, it is not spam. Columbia started sending out likely letters in late February this year. This means that you are almost guaranteed to be admitted on decision day, so congratulations!
