I know this is a really stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone got in with something less than a 4.0. Sports recruits and other recruited students are usually the students with the lower GPA's but are there any who are like a typical applicant, only with a lower GPA? Thanks.

No, everyone had a 4.0

my friend got in and shes ranked number 65/217 with a GPA of about 3.0 if not less!!!!!!!

^^ Liar. Ivy League students are perfect.

i'm a recruit. i'm stupid though. i only had a 3.65UW. i don't think i should be going to harvard.

^^ Then why are you going?

^It's called sarcasm...

Oh really?

There's something cloying about the amount of sarcasm people put forth^^, why not just answer the question instead of making trivial little commments. I too would like to know the answer to that question which i'm sure is yes but i want the answer to exclude any hooks i.e legacy, and athletes.

I agree with chaotic order. I would like to know the answer as well.

D had a 94% (95% weighted) on a scale where 100% is the maximum, and her class rank is about 5 out of 140 students.

and she is not a legacy, athlete, or URM.

Yes; 3 students from my public school in the last 3 years. one was legacy
though. None of them were athletes or national level award winners.
Despite their low GPAs, 2 out of the 3 of them were the official
presidential nominees from the school based on their NMSQT and
SAT scores (that may have been the "hook"?) None were URMs.

thank you for all the messages
arwen15, I have an A- GPA which isn't low, but it is not perfect. I am hoping that if I do really well on my SATs that it will make up for the not so perfect GPA.
