I have a decent gpa of 3.8 but I'm not sure this will qualify me. I heard from my friend who got into harvard with 3.4 gpa, but she was recruited. Is there any possibilty that person with low gpa can get into harvard not as a recuited athlete?

The lowest GPA at Harvard is a 3.0, but I imagine that student had a lot of “other stuff” going on for them – recruited athlete, diplomatic’s child, big $$$ donor etc. See C11 data: http://www.provost.harvard.edu/institutional_research/CDS_2011-2012_Final.pdf.

That said, if you are rejected, it will not be because of your GPA. Have you read this thread: <a href=“Chance Threads - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING ONE - Harvard University - College Confidential Forums”>Chance Threads - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING ONE - Harvard University - College Confidential Forums;

Do you have a 3.8 or a 3.9? Elsewhere you said you have a 3.88 GPA. Most people on this site would round upwards. Why didn’t you? Or is the 3.88 a “mistake?”
