Did anyone get rejected?

My friend got her acceptance e-mail an hour ago...I was lurking on the acceptance thread and someone said that the first wave of acceptances/waitlists are out, and that the second wave will be rejections....i hope that's not true syracuse is my first choice .__.

did anyone not get in?
if so what were your stats so i can see where i fit in.

one of my friends on facebook did. he updated his status so that’s how i know, can’t give you a time or anything but they must’ve sent out rejections too. i haven’t heard anything yet so i guess it’s another week from now

ugh, well good luck!

They send acceptances and rejections in each wave - there will be three waves.

now my real question is how do they decide these waves and why not just release them all at once? i can’t seem to figure it out since i applied mid-October

I received an acceptance email from Syracuse on the 18 (yesterday) at 4:41 pm.

yrod124 - congratulations on your acceptance. But $5K/yr is hardly ‘good’ in the big picture - it’s a $55K/year school! Curious to hear if this is typical and what others got. Again, congrats on getting in.

My guess is that yrod124 meant her package brought her cost of attendance to $5000 a year- if that’s true its a great package…not sure though??

oh sorry for not clarifying, i meant that the school covers about 50k so i only have to pay around 5k

Still waiting…

Hoping I get my email in the second wave!

I have twins who both applied to Syracuse. One accepted yesterday (Fri, 3/18) via email at 1:15 PM to School of Health and Exercise Science (we live in San Francisco) and one hasn’t heard and applied to School of Communications. Quite tense in our household!

yrod124 - that’s an incredible scholorship! That’s excellent.

When will the second wave go out?

I want to know too.

yrod- that’s great and all but not what this thread is about.
wasn’t really relevant to what i want to know

waves go out every friday i think
