Did Bowdoin notify you that they received everything?

Bowdoin is one of my top choices, and I applied RD. I realized today that I never received a conformation email saying that my application was complete and they never gave me an online login or something…do they do this or no? FREAKING OUT

Yeah I did not hear back from them untilmyesterdaybwhen my acceptance packet showed up in the mail

the only thing i got from them was an interview and i got accepted. so i would worry

You’re probably okay… I called Bowdoin a couple weeks ago asking the same thing and they told me that if they didn’t contact you, it means they have everything of yours (and vice versa) Don’t worry!

Okay thank you!! alexcuad, what part of the US are you from? just wondering if everyone got there packets already…

I think the people who received early acceptance letters make up a small portion of the applicant pool who came from diverse backgrounds. They needed to send the letters now because [I assume] everyone who got one was invited to the “Experience Bowdoin” program. In order to arrange traveling details and organize that program, they set the deadline for registering on March 30, which is before they release their admissions decisions. So, they needed to send admissions decisions early to those who they wanted to fly out for their multicultural open house, whereas it wasn’t as pressing to inform other accepted applicants.

What I am saying is don’t sweat it if you didn’t get a package yesterday. It definitely doesn’t mean you have less of a chance, it just means they have a limited amount of space in their “diverse background” visitation program.

I got nothing. No emails at all. Still got the Early write, though.

As stated above and In the application verification email if Bowdoin is missing anything they will let you know. I hope it’s not too late to get an early package! I’m out here in California.
