My daughter and I both found Niche extremely useful when she was applying to college a couple of years ago. The “new and improved” version has, alas, done away with most of the features, that we found uniquely helpful.

Yes, trying to get info now and it is a lot harder then the previous version with lots less information. I liked the big headings of categories on the left side where you can navigate to whatever information you were looking for and to read the student’s reviews. Hoping they revert back.
Yeah the comparing between colleges is gone, though the design of the site is nice and clean - better than some others. And the reviews are still there - at the bottom of the page.
StartClass allows you to compare stats between colleges. Also StartClass shows not just its own rankings but those from other sources (USWNR, etc.), which is handy. Niche only shows its own.
And Students Review (join those 2 words together) has more reviews than Niche anyway.
