<p>Well I am young for 8th gradeand my parents want me to stay for 9th grade at my school (it goes to 9th and then stops) but they also want me to start boarding school in 9th so thats why (my parents choice the whole way)</p>
<p>I got into 1 place, waitlisted at 2 and denied at 4. I was waitlisted at my favorite. Trying to get off it now!</p>

<p>WL’d to Andover, Exeter, and Milton…I guess it’s because I didn’t really want to go. But once I sent in my apps, I really wanted to go! Dumb, right? Tips to new applicants: DON’T PROCRASINATE!!! I wrote my essays on January 14 and mailed them on the 15th…I hope I got the right postmark</p>

<p>Don’t sweat the rejections. A lot of schools saw their application piles increase. Can you imagine having to read through thousands of applications for just a few spots. Seems like everyone was trying to get into Exeter. Not sure even God could get in this year.</p>
<p>I always believe the universe puts us where we’re supposed to be. I went back for a visit and I didn’t get the same “warm and fuzzies” I felt when I attended back in the cave man days. Sometimes bigger and popular is not better - just harder and more stressful. Taft and Governor’s are great schools and getting waitlisted at Andover (even if it’s not yet an acceptance) is something most people would kill for - it means you’re a great candidate that they couldn’t squeeze in yet. :-)</p>
<p>2010 did you apply to any high schools around you? That happened to a guy I know but it was because his mom was only looking at schools that would be reaches for him; his mom had no idea how to navigate bs world. But I really hope you applied to schools around you too or your school has a 9th</p>
<p>I am in 9th grade now, so I will be in 10th grade next year at my local public. I am going to apply as a 10th grade repeat next year.</p>
<p>There are no good day schools where I live that offer enough FA.</p>
