Did everyone get the letters in mail?

^My son’s came today on the coast. It is a large envelope. Maybe 9x11 or so.

Got my big envelope on Long Island

got my envelope today in md…made it thru the blizzard. which is strange. bc my mom only made it halfway home on her commute and had to get a hotel room and wait it out. but the envelope made it like 500 miles…unc must know something the rest of us dont

When/how do accepted people find out if they are in the honors program? If it did not come with the acceptance envelope, does that mean you aren’t in?

I just wanted to clarify, honors letters and scholarships weren’t supposed to come with the acceptance package right?

i just realized that like 4 other people have asked and there hasn’t been a response, but i want to know

Nothing in Minneapolis yet. Not optimistic about it arriving soon, I had to send four copies of my high school transcript before they received one.

got mine in maryland today!

Here is a direct answer from the Admitted Students FAQ PDF download on the UNC Admissions Blog:

“When will I know if I am being considered for a merit scholarship?
Students who are being considered for merit scholarships will receive an invitation to Scholarship Day within two weeks after receiving their decision. At Scholarship Day, students join other scholars and Carolina faculty in small discussion groups. Following the event, the scholarship selection committee makes its final decisions about scholarships, and students are then notified of their merit scholarship offer. Scholarship Day will be held on March 25.”

So, I don’t think anyone would have received any merit scholarship info or invitation to apply for Honors in this initial package.

Thanks for the info! I hadn’t seen the Admitted Students FAQ before you mentioned it; it turns out that it has a lot of helpful information!

To get to it, go to the Admissions Blog and click on “Admitted Students FAQ” at the top left of the page.

Finally got the package in New York today.

Just got the package today in STL. Even in the packet is says that you may not be notified about merit scholarships and the honors program until early April, so I wouldn’t get too anxious.

Got package in NJ today:)

Received in Minnesota!!

Got one in Chicago - Western Burbs yesterday.

Anyone heard anything about Merit Scholarships yet???

S got a Scholarship Day invite today.

Son also got scholarship day invite. Letter said only 100 out of the 14K early applications received the invite.

Did anybody get this email? What does it Mean?
