Yesterday, I applied for the SPRING 2014 semester at Johnson & Wales University (Miami & Charlotte) that starts in January. A lot of people apply for spring much earlier, around July and August.

I was originally going to a community college, that's why I only recently thought about JWU. My timing was an afterthought, it just now occurred to me that it's getting pretty close to the spring semester. I will REQUEST forwarding of my high school transcript tomorrow, who knows when they'll get it...

I applied for business administration.

My GPA was 3.5 and I got a combined score of 1470 on the SAT.

Was I too late?

Well, Cappex says their applications are rolling - meaning they keep going - and they require a response by May 1st. So, no, I don’t think you were too late. Your SAT was a little low but if you took on a reasonable workload, you should be okay.

Are you transferring or will you be an incoming frosh?

J&W doesnt’ give great aid, so will your parents pay? If not, then you need to have a Plan B.

Thanks for the answers so far! I will be an incoming freshman.

rolling admissions = no prob

You’ll probably be admitted because of your GPA.

What was your M+CR?

Will your parents pay for J&W? Have you used the Net Price Calculator on the website?

SAT Scores

Reading: 520
Math: 400
Writing: 550
Multiple Choice: 59
Essay: 6

According to the Net Price Calculator, I’m eligible to receive a little over $19,000, with a little over $12,000 remaining. My grandparents have elected to pay any additional cost.
