My situation:

The teachers at my school ask for a resume (similar to the one on the Common App) before they write students a recommendation. This is so that they can get a look at what the student does outside of school.

After giving them my activity sheet in June, I revisited it today and realized that I had grossly over estimated my hours for one of my activities (let's just say by a factor of five). So essentially I made one of my minor (but important) activities one of the my most noteworthy. An honest mistake, but I have no idea what I should do.

Although I have immediately corrected this issue on my applications (there is a chance that my teacher didn't even write about it anyways) How should I tell my teachers?

Is there a way I can make sure my teacher corrected the mistake if they did? I'm worried that they might think I'm just making up my hours if I tell them. I do plan to somewhat write about this activity (amongst others) in my essays, but I dont want any inconsistencies on my application. Anyone have any suggestions?

I appreciate any input and thanks so much for your help!
