I did some of the practice sections and they are noticeably different (and significantly more difficult) than the ones in the Blue Book. Should I continue doing the practice sections anyways or would I be better off just looking at the Math strategies sections and vocab building?

For reference, I have a 2130 and I'm trying to improve my Math and Reading (710 and 680 respectively).

Thanks guys. But I’m just concerned about whether Gruber’s will actually help with the real thing or if it’s just preparing me for the wrong thing. Any other opinions on this?

Most of the problems look realistic. I have the book as well.

Some of the problems seem to be a little too straightforward though, testing basic concepts like your ability to add fractions. Adding fractions is very useful, but it’s not going to be explicitly tested on the SAT.

By the way, how many official SAT tests have you taken? By official I mean the blue book, QAS, etc.

I’ve taken the actual SAT twice, completed the BB a while ago, Princeton Review SAT Guide, and Kaplan’s 12 SAT book. I’m usually scoring within the 2100-2200 range, but for some reason I’m doing relatively subpar on these Gruber’s sections.
