I want to major in music, and this year (senior) I sacrificed AP Lit to take Theory, Psych, and French. I took AP Lang last year, got a 4 on the test, and got a 36 in English without studying the first time I took the ACT.

Is it going to look bad to schools that I'm now in regular Lit if I do very well in that class and make it clear that my true love is Music? Even if my AP Theory grades aren't astounding?

@XxSkizzyxX that’s a loaded and poor question. You can do lots of things with a music major besides just performing. Some companies actually look for them because of their creative side. And music majors do very well as far as med school admission too.

@guineagirl96 Thank you! It seemed like a loaded question to me too. I’m 16 and graduating soon, it’s lucky I even know what I want to study…to predict my future job is asking too much of me.
Ideally, I’d be a musician, but I’d be open to lots of careers in music and as of now I just want to focus on getting my bachelor’s/possibly master’s before I make any huge decisions.
