Is it worth putting it on there? I'm on the President's List but i don't even know what it is exactly. If they see that I got all A's, won't they know i'm on it anyways?

Yeah, I did, and so should you. I mean, why wouldn’t you? Put it in the awards section and designate it an academic award in the drop down menu.

Noooooooooooooooo! Don’t put that on there? Why would you want to THAT?!

The president’s/dean’s list shows up on your transcript. Everyone with a certain GPA or higher gets it automatically.

It asks for academic awards, and that is an academic award. Unless you have a bunch of other awards that take higher precedence, I don’t see any reason not to put it.

Depends on who the President is…

To expand on what edmfanatiq said: Yeah, but they don’t see the transcript until after you’ve been accepted.

An award is an award, people. Why people feel the need to not list this academic award in the section of a university application which asks for a list of your awards is absolutely beyond me. I’ll never understand this, no matter how many people post this same question on these forums. I mean, c’mon people. What exactly is leaving dean’s list off of your application meant to accomplish?

I just.

Do.

Not.

Get it!

I’m gonna stop right there, because I feel like I could just go on and on and on, and nobody wants that.

^ To be fair we didn’t want that either…
