<p>My parents didn't finish "high school," period. They had basic schooling in Vietnam and fled to America (through boats, refuge camps, and other horror stories) in 1986. My maternal family prior to my mother had never ever went to school (that I know of). So that makes me a first generation American and first generation college-bound.</p>
