<p>Does it mean I'm rejected? I'm rejected from two schools and accepted from one so far, (and I applied for four schools) so I am a little bit relieved that I have SOMEWHERE to go.. But I wish I'm accepted from DA for real.. Rejection from Hotchkiss yesterday morning on website let me down... Since I'm not accepted from Hotchkiss, I feel like I wouldn't be accepted from DA either... Who got any package in NY yesterday? USPS doesn't work on Sunday (And I don't know about FedEx, but DA doesn't use FedEx, anyways) so I should get on Monday.. But if I was accepted, they would sent an overnight mail.. So I feel like I'm just rejected.. Ah, I don't want to think about it. I really thought I would get into either DA or Hotchkiss. But I have somewhere to go.. That's a relief... But I didn't get Financial Aid package yet, and it makes me nervous... If they don't support Financial Aid enough, it doesn't mean any different from denial... So conclusion.. Anyone in Manhattan (or NYC or Westchester or norther NJ) got anything from DA? Do I have to assume I'm denied?</p>
<p>I live in northern NJ and I, too did not receive anything from Deerfield. It was nerve wracking because it made me assume that I was not accepted. I saw that other students knew their admissions decisions but I just kept thinking, “I am accepted. I will not doubt that I am because I do not know for sure just yet.” That is what is helping me stay content until Monday. I know what you mean when you say you were not accepted to Hotchkiss and that’s why you wouldn’t be accepted to DA (I was wait listed at Hotchkiss). They are two different schools looking for different things. And althought it may seem like the end of the world if you are rejected or wait listed things get better and there is always next year. Don’t get discouraged and feel free to PM me if you want.</p>
<p>Just because you live close by does not mean that you will get a package ASAP! Please, remember that. Although you received nothing yesterday, it doesn’t mean you are rejected! At least you have an option!</p>
<p>@ notjustlefty, we are also in tri-state but didn’t receive anything from DA. My son got Exeter and Lawrenceville. Waitlisted in Hotchkiss. Waiting for DA and Andover. I am sure good news is waiting for you ion the mail in Monday</p>
<p>My daughter is also waiting for Andover. She got in Lawrenceville, Hotchkiss and Peddie and is waitlisted at Exeter.</p>
<p>@notjustlefty, we’re nyers, and haven’t heard anything from Deerfield. Whether or not that means no acceptance is coming, I don’t know. I do know that waitlist/denial from one ACRONYM school does not equal automatic waitlist/denials from the others. </p>
