Didn't get enough aid? Here's a thought.

ok so. I got into (blank school) my dream school with no FA. I was not allowed to go without any FA especially since another school offered it. Well, if you call them and ask for an appeal they will reconsider your "status". They will not change it from nothing to full, but if someone declines with FA that money opens up and they are more likely to give it to someone they really want who was accepted as opposed to someone they liked less of the wait list. Just a warning... wait list's never get aid. Its a rare occasion if they do. They will give those wait list spots to the legacies and wealthier people. just a warning! hope this helped for anyone is in the FA situation. ( I am not going to this school haha even though I got enough FA)

Woww… lovely. Thanks for bringing up my hopes!

I really wish kids on this list would stop giving out advice about what adcoms will or will not do when you really REALLY don’t know.

I mean - good grief - give it a rest.

You gotta admit, it’s a good idea though.

I heard though a source I trust, some schools do give FA to students coming off the waitlist.

Be careful giving out info you are not sure about.

Always and never can be dangerous words in the wrong hand.

Guyss i think this is just someone’s advice. This is not the person saying no one ever gets aid… he’s or (she) is just saying don’t get your hopes up because it rarely happens. The cases you are talking about are only if there is more aid. i agree with soccer345
