difference b/t economics and business undergrad

<p>just wondering what the differences are. i've heard people say you dont need an undergrad business degree. do econ and business majors have some opportunities job wise, as well as salary progressions? thx.</p>

<p>To answer your question, yes, both majors have same (i guess that's what you meant) job opportunities, both get same kind of job (with exception of accounting - accounting firms tend to prefer accounting majors, which is a subfield of Business Adminstration). Since both get the same kind of job, the base salary tend to be very similar if not identical. The two most sought-after field for both majors are IBanking and Consulting, althought vast majority will not be able to get into those industry since these are the two most difficult field to break into (supply and demand in action).</p>
