Difference between AP Physics in High School to Physics (med school pre req)

What should I expect if I got a 4/5 on the AP test?

Depends how hard-earned that 4/5 was, and how much you liked it or are interested in medical areas with a stronger physics focus. If you are a typical sort of student who is doing physics to meet a requirement, imo it sets you up well to get a really strong mark with somewhat less pain when you take intro physics in college, rather than a second level course (if your college accepts the AP for the pre-req).

Into physics in college is often a weed-out class. Taking it again in college is not necessarily an “Easy A”.

^^another argument for not try to jump to the higher level, where everybody else will already have survived that class

Which AP physics?

Which intro physics, the one for biology majors (no calculus or light calculus), or the one for physics majors (with calculus and multivariable calculus)?

@ucbalumnus AP physics 1
I dont know which intro one is. I will be pre med and will take the pre required physics course

Med school only requires algebra-based physics.

AP physics 1 emulates one semester of physics for biology majors without calculus.

JMO I would take it in college. College courses are much more indepth than AP classes. You want to know the material well for the MCAT. D took calculus./multivariable based physics as an engineering/premed student.
