Difference between business, economics, and accounting?

What is the difference between a major in business, in economics, and in accounting?

Which is most popular typically? Most rigorous? More hard to get in? Helps you pursue a more high-paying job in the future?

Also, do people typically like to see that you declare simply the economics major or the economics w/ math major?

THANKS!!!

It depends where you go to school.

Economics- It’s a social science that studies how people make use of limited resources. For business it applies because you draw “charts” to represent how a price of one thing efects sales (or demand).

Accounting- If you’re a number muncher you pretty much setup “financial reports” like income statements, statements of cash flows, ect.

Business- Very broad and it’s basically about the exchange between a good or service. Obviously it gets more detailed but business is just a broad overview.

I would try to take some elective courses in high school or when you go to college and see what you like best. Don’t pick a major because one pays more. Stick with something you are good at and enjoy. If you are the best at your field, the money will come.
