Difference between NEU programs to its CPS?

Everybody, does anyone know whats the difference between Northeastern's College of professional studies to its other divisions in the college? Or is all the same thing, because when I asked the transfer rep at the college, she said they are two different things.

CPS is primarily for part time evening adult students. It also houses some alternative programs.

CPS has more of an open admissions, tuition is much lower, and they use adjunct faculty instead of full time professors. I know someone who wanted to go the Northeastern, but couldn’t get it. He spent a year at CPS, aced all his courses, and then transferred to the regular program. It might be an option for some people. This person was a foreign student who came right out of high school, so definitely not a part-timer.
