Hey guys,
I want to know the difference in becoming a doctor between the USA and the UK.
I might be wrong but I heard somewhere that there is no Premed in the UK. Is this right? I also read that if you become a doctor in the UK, you can not perforn yout career in the USA. (?)

What are the programs fot premed in UK and USA? How many years does premed take for each?

UK admits students to medical school directly from high school. Medicine is 6 (7?) year program. In the US, to apply for medical school one must first complete a undergraduate baccalaurate degree (typically 4 years), then apply to medical school. Medical school is a 4 year professional degree.

Doctors who complete their medical education outside of the US are not eligible for medical licensure in the US. In order to practice medicine, foreign trained doctors must take and pass the USMLE (US Medical Licensing Exams) and complete a US medical residency.
