Ok, first of all, I'm not looking for the prestige here. I already know Cal Poly Pomona's engineering program has one of the highest post-grad work-placement rates of any major on campus. So I'm looking for DIFFERENCE not prestige. From what I heard, a lot of employers seek out Cal Poly Pomona Engineers. But I also heard that the Bourns College of Engineering at UCR is great because of small size classes, undergrad research, faculty-student ratios, and a lot of UCR engineers were satisfied with their engineering college. Do employers also seek out UCR Engineers???
Can any UCR engineer or Cal Poly engineer tell me about the pros/cons of each engineering program???

please help =(

it one of the newer engineering schools in the country and it has done alot with environmental research

Differences would be the type of curriculum. Since they are both ABET accredited, they have to comply with a certain set of standards; nonetheless, the polytechnic approach at Cal Poly Pomona emphasizes a learn by doing philosophy which means lots of lab time. I hope that in the future both colleges complement each other by improving the much-needed intellectual and scholarly base in the Inland Empire. Both universities should deliver a 1-2 punch like Cal Poly SLO/UCSB or SDSU/UCSD and help improve one another.

Thanks CalPolyEngineer! That’s the answer I was looking for!
