I know I can't totally trust the lists for US News and Business Wk rankings for undergrad business schools, but is one more trustworthy than the other? I'm not really sure which one to look at it.

Thanks!

Use both, but don't take them too seriously. I would look at both and then do my own research about the schools I'm interested in.

In all honesty, I think business school rankings for undergrad is completely worthless. None of the top schools (except Upenn and MIT) have undergrad business schools, and majoring in a liberal arts at an elite school will actually give you better career prospects than studying business at 99% of the business schools out there. The only business profession where you will need to major in business is accounting, and the big 4 pretty much recruit everywhere. So instead of being obsessed about business school rankings, I think it's more important to see whether or not the employer of your choice recruits at your particular school. Just my opinion.

Umm....yes they do!

not really. of the top 10 in the bweek rankings, only penn and mit really count as top schools followed by cornell, emory and berkely.

Now you just have to get into and PAY for that elite school. And many firms besides accting do most of their hiring out of major business schools. Firms such as the major commercial banks, large companies, regional investment banks hire lots of people and do not recruit at the elite eastern schools. The pay is good and you don't have to work in NYC with 100 hour workweeks. Here's the YTD placement data for a good Big 10 B school undergrads.

I have no idea what you guys are trying to say here. Almost half of the US' top universities offer Business to undergrads. Among them:

Carnegie Mellon University
Cornell University
Emory University
Georgetown University
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
University of California-Berkeley
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
University of Notre Dame
University of Pennsylvania
University of Virginia
Washington University-St Louis

Johns Hopkins and Northwestern are in the process of introducing undergraduate programs too.
