I'd like to major in the one which provides more job security upon graduation (rather than having to go to graduate school in order to get a job). Also, which subject involves more math (and to what extent), and which would most people consider to be the easier major? Thanks.

there are tons of threads on this, just look around. both have their ups and downs upon graduation, if you ask me it comes down to what you would enjoy studying more. economics involves a lot more math, finance usually only requires calc 1 but economics usually requires more. i would guess that most people find finance easier because there is less math.

In regards to job security, they are probably equal. However, it might be advantageous to major in finance if your economics department is separate from your business school, because some firms give priority to b-school students.

i think economics has a little more job security

Economics is a very broad subject with various concentrations. Finance is a concentration or an aspect of economics. I think that Econ in general has more math and that Finance mostly uses basic math (probably nothing past calculus).
