Different look on why Work Experience is now very important

<p>His GMAT was 780! Isn't that like a record? He also had a high GPA and he still got rejected by all of his schools except Chicago? </p>

<p>The only reason work experience is important is because the B-School wants a higher ranking and since he didn't have a lucrative job I guess thats why he got rejected.</p>

<p>At the end of the article he only mentions 4 of the 5 criteria Kellogg looks at:</p>

<p>1- With my good grades and scores, I seemed academically competent.
2- As a professional runner, I was unique.
3- my job experience was unimpressive
4- I lacked community involvement and leadership. </p>

<p>which one did I miss?</p>

<p>I'm guessing "community involvement" and "leadership" are two seperate criteria.</p>

<p>i believe he said that he got into all of the schools except for kellog.</p>

<p>I am afraid you are mistaken. He was accepted only by Chicago.</p>
