Does the New SAT contain the same vocab as the old version? Is studying vocab for the old SAT reliable?

Just checking if anyone noticed anything.

I havent noticed any vastly different changes...im pretty sure all the vocab i saw on the sat were covered by the guide books...

"What would they change and how would they?" is a better question if you ask me :O

Actually, numerous test prep companies, who examine and scrutinize the SAT closely, mention that the new SAT has more emphasis on vocabulary. This means that there are probably more new words on the new SAT.

This answers your two questions.

Oh. See I thought you meant there were going to be other ways the SAT was going to test vocabulary...Not the issue of if there will be more / less :O

Your initial question should be "Does the New SAT contain the same amount of vocab as the old version?" >.<

Well, if you read the initial question again, it states "Does the New SAT contain the same vocab as the old version?". It's crystal-clear that there is no implication to whether or not there are possibly other, new ways the new SAT tests vocab (it would rather difficult to not figure that out). It simply asks about the type of vocab, whether it's similar or not to the old SAT and whether the old SAT vocab prep material is still plausible in regards to prepping for the new SAT.

And why would I want to post that question that you mention if I clearly say that I already know that the new SAT tests more vocab? I am lost on that one.
