diff eq is after calc 3 right? is it relatively easier than calc 1, 2, or 3 or is it still considered a weedout course?

Diff Eq/Math 216, the “engineering major course”, only prerequires Calc II. You don’t need III first. It is significantly easier than II and III. Just as easy as I.

Diff eq/Math 316, the “math major course”, which prerequires Linear Algebra/Math 217 (which in turn prerequires Calc III) is fairly harder than 216 as significant theory/proofs are involved. Still not too bad though.

MATH 216 was pretty easy. Just go to class, write down everything on the board, then refer to it as needed for your homework.

Everything was pretty simple, but I wasn’t a huge fan of Laplace transforms

calc 4 is pretty easy compare to calc 3, but it’s still curved, so do really well on exams because the avg tend to be really high due to their easiness.

great thanks I want to take diff equations now.

do you need to know any concepts from calc 3 to take diff eq or is differential eq completely different?

Not that I remember. Partial DiffEq would require some knowledge from calc 3. But DiffEq just requires basic knowledge of differentiation (calc 2), and then throws some new topics in along the way.
