Difficulty of AP's

How rigorous would my classes be considered if I have taken these 10 AP’s throughout high school:

  • AP Biology
  • AP Psychology
  • AP Micro/Macro
  • AP US History
  • AP AB Calc
  • AP BC Calc
  • AP Lang
  • AP Gov
  • AP BC Calc
  • AP Art History

Pretty dang rigorous I think. But sometimes what matters more is how you did in those courses. So if you took a ton and did poorly in them, some colleges might be a little wary of that.

Taking AP BC Calc twice may not go well with colleges … just joking, probably just a typo in your list.

The rigor of your schedule is looked at in the context of your high school (what your school offers, what kids generalyl take, etc.)
However, I’m pretty sure this would be a very rigorous schedule.

While solid, there’s no bonus points for maxing out you know. This isn’t a race to the AP finish line. Your classmate who takes only six or seven (egads!) may be looked equally as strong as you.

The only opinion that matters is that of your guidance counselor. You should check with him/her to be sure that he/she will check off that you have taken the most rigorous schedule available at your HS on the guidance counselor recommendation.

Sorry I meant to put AP Chemistry instead of AP BC Calc. I’ve haven’t done poorly in them but I am getting a lot of B’s in these classes.

Those classes are considered very rigorous; however, getting a B in one of these classes is worse than getting an A in an easier one.

I’d consider that course load pretty rigorous. But overall as stated previously, rigor is really determined by colleges based on grading and scores at your school.
