dilemma as an undecided major.... help me.

Okay.
So I've been pretty much freaking out about this for a while--about choosing a major, that is.
I'm only a freshman in the College, but I'm an undecided major.. when people tell me that I have plenty of time, yeah, I believe them, but when I look at the courses I'm taking (and the courses I'm planning on taking in the future), I don't think I'm prepared at ALL.

This is what I know:
subjects I like: studio arts, molecular biology, literature, spanish, culture studies, film studies, philosophy...

subjects I want to try out: sociology, psychology, economics, health & societies, visual studies..

subjects I don't like: math.

..... I have no idea how I'm supposed to deal with this. I'm currently just fulfilling requirements while trying out different things on my list. But I highly doubt that I'm going to get to all of them before I have to declare my major.

I'm planning on taking Spanish for all 4 years too, so I can study abroad.......

AHHHHHH.

you can probably find some classes that span areas on your list

for example:

mol bio - psych - hsoc can be combined into a bbb class, maybe
studio arts - film studies - visual studies into a fine arts or visual studies class
or spanish - culture - lit - film studies in some spanish culture class
mol bio - sociology - econ - hsoc in a healthcare management class

the other thing is, if you look at where penn grads go (career surveys on career services site), can you think about the fields you might be interested in trying - and then from there, what classes might prepare you to get internships / jobs there

feel free to pm me for more thoughts / help, happy to help out - don’t want you to end up like some of the kids whose resumes i’ve reviewed in recruiting, where there was visible curricular indecision that hurt their applications
