<p>NYU is a GREAT school for writers, but going into that much debt is just silly. Especially since we english majors don't have a wall street or high powered law firm to turn to after graduation. 70K is quite a bit of money.</p>
<p>The CCC to UC system is sure-fire. I don't think you have to worry about not getting in. </p>
<p>Have you thought of UC-Irvine. I know they have tip-top ranked MFA program in creative writing, but haven't heard anything about their undergrad. </p>
<p>BTW, I know this is probably a sh**faced question since your in a dilema, but are NYU workshops really all they're made out to be? I've heard amazing things. </p>
