I am requesting assistance with my college decision. I have finally narrowed down my top 2 colleges to Notre Dame and William and Mary. I have visited both and really felt a good fit with both of them. ND is about an hour and a half from home. W&M is much farther away. It doesn't matter to me if I am close to home or far away as I don't plan on going home much. However, ND has the winters that I have grown up with, while W&M does not. ND is a big sport school, but that is not all that important to me. I plan on majoring in history and economics or history and government/political science and then going on to law school. W&M has top history professors as well as Williamsburg close by. ND has top professors also. Both have good study abroad and internship programs. Both have good alumni relations, except ND seems to have an extremely good alumni following (at least near where I live!!!) I am really having a hard time deciding as I REALLY LIKE both schools and believe I can have a great college experience at either one. ND's financial package was a little better than W&M's (Loans vs. Work Study). Any advise and assistance would be appreciated as I am losing sleep trying to make this decision!

Thats tough. I mean if ND is cheaper it is a better school all around. I think W&M is awesome as well, but I think ND is more national known. Personally id go with ND, better hook ups with alumni. I think other then that though there both equal. Where do you want to live after school? Both school are extremely strong in there regions.

First of all they are both great schools so you can’t make a bad choice. I’d say that if you plan on settling in the Midwest that ND is the school which will give you the far superior alumni network in that part of the country. I’d go there. Plus the financial package sounds a bit better.
