Here’s the story. I moved to Italy (against my will bla bla long story) after finishing high school in my country. I applied to some italian universities but they didn’t accept me because I only have 11 years of studies and they required at least 12 (I skipped a year because I was exempted). I was taken back to 3rd year high school. XP

My italian GPA in 3rd year is nothing compared to my GPA from my former school. I got a B only on most science subjects and failed (F) horribly in speaking and writing classes such as Literature and History due to a language barrier (Two of my professors were columnists for a national newspaper and I have not taken any italian lessons before). I’ve always wanted to attend a university in the US but I didn’t want to show my Fs. I decided to not continue with 4th year and study in the US instead. I’ve sent a few emails to US universities hoping to answer the questions below but all I got was a How-to-Apply response. It would be very helpful if anyone could answer any of them. TA in advance.

Do I have to put my italian school on the “List all other secondary schools, including summer schools as well as summer and other programs, you have attended, beginning with 9th grade” on the CommonApp form?

Do I have to provide a transcript from my italian school? I am afraid the Fs will affect my chances.

Is it possible for one of my italian professors to sign my letter of recommendation? Or is it better to have 2 of my teachers from my former school to sign the letters and provide an additional letter of recommendation from my italian professor? One of my italian professors knows me very well and he saw me strive to adapt to a new environment.
