Dilemma

Hi there,

I'm a junior is who going to take the March SAT, and my parents and my counselor are at disagreement.

Parents: IF you don't get the SAT score I'm trying to get (2100+), retake it in May (since there is no April SAT). Take the Subject tests (Chem, bio, math) all in june.

Counselor: IF you don't get the SAT score I'm trying to get, DONT retake and take the subject tests in May (I'm taking AP Chem, AP Bio, and Ap Calc) so it stays fresh in my mind. Retake the SAT next year in the beginning of senior year.

This is if I don't get a 2100+ in March (so hopefully I won't need to resort to this).

What should I do?

Personally I would go with counselor. Why not take SAT I in June if you don’t want to study over the summer.

I’d actually suggest combining their two suggestions and taking:

March: SAT
June: Subject Tests
October or November: SAT if less than 2100 or ST if you don’t get what you want
November or December: ST if you don’t get what you want and you use oct/nov for SAT.
