Dilemma!

Hi, I'm a junior and it's time to figure out senior schedules. So far, I'm taking

AP Calc BC
AP Lit
Gym/Health
Honors Physics (no AP offered)

Now, I can take up to three more classes, but if I were to choose AP Biology, I would have to drop another class (either AP Euro or AP French) because it requires two additional lab days. So basically, I have the following options:

AP French and AP Biology (drop AP Euro)
AP Euro and AP Biology (drop AP French)
AP French, AP Euro, and another class (possibly AP Stats) but no AP Biology

I asked my guidance counselor and she said it's really up to me; one option is not more advantageous than another. But what do you guys think? Is it true that colleges (at least some) recommend an AP course in science?

Thanks in advance!

I think AP Stats is the better route to go... Senior year is crazy stressful, and having an easy class, like AP stats will help. Plus, i really hate Bio...

You really just need to play to your strengths. If you're not any good at science, there's no point in taking AP Biology if you're just going to get a C. You're already taking honors physics, so unless you're planning to pursue science and you really want to demonstrate your passion for it, you don't need to take another science.

Whatever combination you choose, I would recommend AP Euro, because not only is it really interesting and entertaining, but the AP exam is quite easy.

What do you LIKE? That's what should guide you & you're already taking one science, Honors Physics. My kids have never taken more than one science course at a time--unless you LOVE science.

Looks like you're taking a lot of challenging courses, you need to figure out what will work for you, so you can enjoy your senior year instead of going crazy with the college aps AND studying like crazy. Honors science courses should be fine, unless you're planning on majoring in engineering or sciences. Don't knock yourself out--plan a schedule yo can be comfortable with.

Playing to my strengths isn't an issue to me. I don't want to sound cocky, but I'm fairly confident that I will succeed regardless of what courses I take. Besides, I like challenges ;)

I am not yet sure what I will pursue in college, so I want to leave my options open. Thanks for the replies!
