How do dining halls work? Are there like different "stations" that cook different meals and you can pick what you want to eat (like a mini food court)? And is there a way I can get a meal to-go without using my points so that it would count as a meal? And if I want to grab like a fruit on my way out to save for later, are the staff okay with that? I'm in Russell by the way if there are any special amenities there.

My D was in Russell two years ago and ate there most of the time this past year. There are themed nights, the breakfast is particularly good, you can take food with you, there is the Russell takeout option if you want to bring a packaged meal to eat later, and there are stations.

From my experience at other universities for honor band, you go in, have the aides swipe your card, grab a tray, and then pick the food you want. It’s a lot like a buffet. I’m not 100% sure about UD, though. I imagine it’d be the same idea.
