i couldn’t find a lot information on the meal plans.
i just want to get some feedback on:

better plan to get?

plan that most people choose?

i also don’t understand the point system or terp bucks.

I know that you are allowed to change your meal plans within the first two weeks (according to website)... when I visited last Thursday/Friday I saw a lot of students desperately trying to spend money because the end of the semester is coming up and the points/bucks do not rollover. Here's a site on what the points/bucks can be used for... http://www.dining.umd.edu/terrapin_express/chart.cfm

I think that I'll be choosing the cheapest or second cheapest option.

go as cheaply as you can...

I suggest the resident dining plan. The red plan is cheapest but comes with more resident points and fewer terpbucks, which doesn't allow you much flexibility in terms of where you can shop. I don't suggest getting the resident plan plus because if you think you're going to need extra money, just get Terrapin Express because it's accepted everywhere on campus.

Go with the middle one. Your gunna have dough left over when the cutoff dates come around but you can just buy cases of bottled water or cereal to get rid of the money.
