Hey if you want to talk to current students you should join this Facebook group called: Discover Dartmouth Discover Dartmouth | Facebook . It is run by current students (like myself) who volunteer to answer questions. We do occasionally check here but we probably check that group a bit more.

I’ll vouch for this too and encourage everyone to go check this out. These guys are at least somewhat supported by admissions and do it for free, so they’re good people :).

Discover Dartmouth is part of a larger effort to inform prospective students about the school. Although there’s definitely a close tie between the Admissions Office and the group, students actually answer the questions. If there’s something that we can’t answer, we can refer you to someone who does.
If you want an honest perspective from people that actually attend the College/have some experience here, please check out the group and join it! The group hasn’t been up for too long, but I feel that the responses to people’s questions are a lot more reliable than some of the things you see on here. I wish it had been around when I was applying last fall! :)

Haha now, now cotee, don’t be undermining us here ;).

Haha. Not that CC is bad or anything… but I do think that Discover Dartmouth can help prospective students more… especially if more people get involved in it.
hint hint nudge nudge

I’ll get involved in what I darn well please! ;p.

So cotee, how’s it going?

I am just going to bump this thread up. Now that the app process is over really feel free to hop over to discover and ask some questions. As much as we LOVE answering questions about the admissions process, (and constantly being asked the secret formula to admissions) we are students so please go on and ask some questions about anything and everything you want to know. All those deadline and applications questions make me feel like I’m working for admissions. (In which case my pay-check got lost in the mail)
