I got accepted to Johns Hopkins University's "Discover Hopkins" program. The course that I got accepeted to is" Mind, Brain, and Beauty".
How selective is this program?
Has anyone ever attended this program? If so, did you enjoy it?
Thank you!!
:)

Did it cost several thousand dollars? If so, it’s not that selective; you pay, you get in, assuming your grades are decent.

It cost abour 2000 dollars.
Why do you say it’s not selective?
Are all the summer programs not selective?

Hmm …

The way it often goes is, a well known university will attract students using their big name, and charge a ton for a summer program. This allows them to make more money. For two weeks, $2000 for a residential program sounds about right.

I’m not saying it’s not selective, because people will still get rejected, but it’s not an almost-impossible program. If you want uber-highly-selective, check out RSI (too late this year).

Out of all the applicants how many get accepted to the Discover Hopkins Program?

OH HEY! i got accepted into the SAME program as you and i leave sunday… technically tomorrow haha. This is way late, but I think it’s awesome. I’m nervous and excited at the same time.

I was wondering how good the program was, and if it was worth the 3000. I just got accepted for this summer:)
