According to Notre Dame’s website, there are 50 transfer spots in the fall semester for 1000 students (.05% acceptance rate) and 5-10 spots in the spring semester for 100 students. Overall as you can see there are a total of 55-60 transfer spots and a very low acceptance rate.
However, according to other sources I’ve seen, they get around 235 transfer students per year. How is that possible?
Perhaps the larger number includes student who transfer from Holy Cross to ND as part of the Gateway Program.
@happy1 is probably correct. On top of the Gateway program transfers, there is also the engineering 3+2 program transfers.
Yes, ND transfer slots remaining after established transfer agreements with partner colleges are in line with the numbers stated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
