Diversity and Demographics in a University

Hi all,

I'm wondering where I can find a listing on a school's website or elsewhere about the demographics and diversity in a university.

Specifically, I'm interested in:

In-state vs. Out of State
Minorities Diversity
International

Also, if possible, I'm curious if I could find out a school's national pull. Many say 'students from each of the 50 U.S states' but I want to verify that and I'm also curious if their is a statistic of specific numbers of students for specific states or regions.

Thanks!

Most schools have this information on the Admissions part of their webpage or posted by the Office of Institutional Research (they are almost always called this or something like that).

Another place to check is running your own report using IPEDS:
[The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System - Home Page](IPEDS)

Also, if you use [:: College Planning Made Easy | Inside Source for College Admissions Requirements](http://www.collegeboard.com) for your college search, it has all the stats all in the same place, every time. You might even be able to do a comparison of different schools. For schools that report it, they even show the make-up of the various minorities.

Search for the Common Data Set of each school - it contains this information, and most schools post it on the web.

For a thumbnail sketch of the information you seek look at **************.com. They quote such data from many colleges.
