I heard it's very homogenous and mostly white.
Is that true? I am asian and most of my friends are white/asian, but I am open to all races and a very accepting person.
I don't want to apply if the students at ND are not very accepting because for me, diversity is very important.

Yeah I was wondering about that too. Diversity is important to me, and 80% of my high school is nonwhite so it’ll be very different at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame being homogenous and white does not mean students are not “accepting” or to put it more bluntly not racists. ND is mostly white (~75%). The largest minority are Asians.

So to answer your question, while I wouldn’t say the students are not “accepting” there is not a lot of diversity. Some minority students don’t have a problem with this, but I know of a few people who transferred to other schools because of this particular issue. The biggest complaint towards the issue of minimal diversity is in the dorms, where a lot of minority students decide to move off campus or room together. You have to visit and see if the atmosphere is good for you, because from an 80% non-white high school its going to be a bit of an adjustment.
