Anyone know the release date for the diversity scholarship (the one due 3/15/18)?
My daughter received her offer in the mail today! Kentucky is making it very hard for her to turn down!
Do you mind sharing the amount of the diversity scholarship. It is not listed on the website. I know it is not automatic so various factors contribute to who received the award. Are you OOS? We are beginning to make a list of potential affordable options for my rising junior who is OOS.
@affirm Sorry! I just noticed this post. If I remember correctly, there was an application and essay that needed to be completed and the amount is not a set amount. She received $20000 so with the Patterson scholarship and a small scholarship from the College of Ag., it was an offer she could not refuse, especially after an amazing visit during merit weekend and a follow up visit during “Choose Blue” just to make sure. The Honors College Dean actually spent 30 minutes chatting with my daughter & husband & The College of Ag Dean & Advisor spent one on one time with us, even during our second visit with last minute request to do so. We were impressed and she is really excited to be there in a few weeks! She is OOS and wanted a different experience and environment. Thank you for this information. Based on stats, We will be looking for colleges that offer automatic scholarships that will bring cost to that of in state college.
