as always, theres a lotta talk about how much your ethnicity/race will help you in the college process...so does anyone think the fact that i'm jewish will help me out considering duke has a methodist affiliation?

I have seen no evidence of Duke's methodist affiliation...besides the chapel. I don't think they ask your religion either or it might be optional.

in the princeton review books it says duke has a methodist affiliation, ...it doesnt ask for it on the app, but i put on religious studies for an EC, inwhich i didnt say i was jewish haha, but anyway just wondering

eh, I don't really feel it that much. It's not like Notre Dame's Catholic affiliation or BYU's Mormon affiliation.

Duke is not affiliated with the Methodist Church anymore. Technically now we are not affiliated with any religion. Regarding being Jewish, to be honest, won't help you or hurt you. There is a very large Jewish population here. The Freeman Center for Jewish Life is a fairly big building in between campuses with a lot of activities. You're not going to stick out in the admissions pool because you are Jewish.
